Job Description



  • Manage the Payments and Cards Banking Tower for Application Support Services for an Indian Bank.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all client communications, escalations, and stakeholder interactions for the tower.

  • Lead and oversee problem analysis, issue classification validation, and root-cause identification.

  • Work collaboratively with the team to troubleshoot, restore, and stabilize applications in the payments and cards module.

  • Establish and manage support services, ensuring adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and quality benchmarks.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Client Application, Infrastructure, IBM teams, and 3rd-party vendors to drive issue resolution.

  • Handle critical situations effectively, including Sev 1, Severity 2, and high-priority Severity 3 incident management.

  • Improve application efficiency by implementing proactive monitoring, automation, and next-gen AMS practices.

  • Ensure business continuity, optimize operations, and work toward account profitability through service excellence.

  • Advise clients on banking industry products and solutions related to Payments & Cards, backed by strong knowledge of market trends, industry directions, and competitive landscape.

  • Required education
    Bachelor's Degree Preferred education

  • Strong experience in managing application support services within the Banking industry, preferably focusing on Payments & Cards.

  • Proven ability to handle incident escalation management, including critical severity levels (Sev 1/2/3).

  • Expertise in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem classification.

  • Hands-on experience with banking applications, payment systems, and card processing environments.

  • Strong knowledge of ITIL processes, SLAs, KPIs, and application support frameworks.

  • Solid understanding of payment processing workflows, card lifecycle, digital payment technologies, and transaction systems.

  • Experience coordinating with multi-functional teams across application, infrastructure, and vendor ecosystems.

  • Ability to implement monitoring solutions, automation, and application efficiency improvements.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.

  • Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Experience managing large-scale Application Managed Services (AMS) or Next-Gen AMS environments.

  • Knowledge of current trends, regulations, and innovations in payments, cards, and digital banking.

  • Familiarity with emerging technologies like real-time payments, UPI, tokenization, API-based payments, and digital card issuance.

  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks applicable to banking and payment systems.

  • Previous experience in leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and driving service improvements.

  • Certifications in ITIL, Payment Systems, or Banking technologies would be an added advantage.
