Job Title: Overseas Counselor

Location: Multiple Locations

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and compassionate Counselor to join our team. As a Counselor at Meridean Overseas Education Consultants, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals through the entire process of studying or working abroad. Your responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities

  • Student Advising: Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to prospective students and professionals interested in pursuing opportunities abroad. Offer guidance on course selection, universities, visa processes, and career prospects.
  • Admission Assistance: Assist applicants with university admissions, scholarship applications, and other necessary documentation. Ensure compliance with admission requirements and deadlines.
  • Visa Support: Help student navigate the visa application process, providing information on visa types, requirements, and application procedures. Assist in preparing visa documentation.
  • Financial Planning: Offer guidance on financial planning for overseas education, including tuition fees, living expenses, and available scholarships. Assist in securing financial aid when applicable.
  • Orientation and Pre-departure Support: Conduct orientation sessions for accepted students to prepare them for life abroad. Provide information on cultural adaptation, accommodation, and travel arrangements.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication and follow-up. Address any concerns or inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Market Research: Stay up-to-date with changes in immigration policies, educational institutions, and job markets in various countries. Provide insights to clients based on market trends.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Counseling, Education, International Relations).
  • Prior experience in education counseling or related fields is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of overseas education systems, visa regulations, and admission processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help clients achieve their goals.
