About The Opportunity

A leading provider in the Musculoskeletal & Orthopedics sector delivering elective and trauma surgical services, advanced joint replacement programmes, arthroscopy and rehabilitative care across India. We focus on evidence-based treatment pathways, excellent surgical outcomes and a multidisciplinary approach to patient-centred care.We are hiring a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon for on-site practice across our tertiary-level facilities in India. This role blends high-volume operative work, outpatient clinics, trauma management and mentorship of junior surgical staff.Role & Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive orthopedic care: perform elective and emergency surgeries (arthroplasty, arthroscopy, fracture fixation, basic spine procedures) and manage perioperative planning.
  • Run high-quality outpatient clinics: diagnose, plan treatment, counsel patients on surgical and non-surgical options, and manage follow-up and rehabilitation plans.
  • Lead trauma responses and on‑call rotas: stabilise, plan and execute operative management for acute fractures and musculoskeletal emergencies.
  • Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams (physiotherapy, anaesthesia, radiology) to optimise patient pathways and expedite recovery.
  • Drive clinical governance: maintain detailed EMR records, participate in morbidity & mortality reviews, and implement quality-improvement initiatives to improve outcomes and reduce complications.
  • Mentor and supervise junior surgeons and trainees; contribute to continued medical education and skill development programmes.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • MBBS with MS (Orthopaedics) or DNB Orthopaedics; recognised postgraduate qualification in Orthopedics.
  • Registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or relevant State Medical Council for practice in India.
  • Minimum 3+ years of independent operative experience post‑qualification in joint replacement, trauma surgery and arthroscopy.

Preferred

  • Fellowship or advanced training in arthroplasty, trauma, spine or sports medicine; experience with minimally invasive or robotic-assisted techniques is a plus.
  • Proven track record of clinical audit, outcomes monitoring and participation in multidisciplinary quality initiatives.
