Key Responsibilities

·       Conduct literature search and review, basic software knowledge like Sci-Finder, Chem-draw, and other databases, basic knowledge of AI & Chat GPT.

·      Execute synthesis and scale up of small organic molecules/intermediates, active ingredient/polymers/ dispersions to multi-kilogram quantities under supervision of department head, adapting to evolve project requirements.

·      Employ techniques such as column chromatography, recrystallization, and fractional, column & vacuum distillation & different techniques.

·      Basic knowledge to utilise HPLC, GC, TLC, NMR, IR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy for compound analysis and interpretation of chemical structure.

·      Assist in the preparation of reports and research publications.

• Maintain accurate records of experiments, observation sheet, including reports, presentations, protocols and publications.
• Develop detailed plans outlining the purpose, materials, methods, and acceptance criteria for tests and studies.
• Establish protocols for proper sample collection, labelling, storage, and processing to prevent contamination or mix-ups.

·      Effectively convey complex scientific concepts clearly and concisely and engage in group meetings and contribute to scientific discussions.

·      Regular upkeep and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.

• Provide comprehensive training to laboratory personnel to ensure competence and adherence to GLP requirements.

·      Maintain organized and clean laboratory environments with controlled conditions to minimize errors and ensure consistency.

• Adhere & Implement to safety protocols and ethical guidelines; ensure compliance and policies to prevent data tampering, including version control and secure storage of records.
