Order-to-Cash (O2C) Business Analyst

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Order-to-Cash (O2C) Business Analyst with strong hands-on experience in EDI transactions to support end-to-end OTC operations for a global pharmaceutical client. This role focuses on day-to-day transaction monitoring, EDI data flow management, and order fulfillment support, while also driving continuous process improvements and ensuring data accuracy across ERP and integrated systems.

The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams, U.S.-based stakeholders, external trading partners, and 3PL providers to ensure seamless EDI-enabled OTC operations and high service continuity.

Key Deliverables

• End-to-end Order-to-Cash operational support
• EDI transaction monitoring, validation, and exception management
• ERP transaction oversight and operational reporting
• Monthly ticket trend analysis and insights
• Quarterly process optimization recommendations
• Master data maintenance and audit logs
• Sales order processing and fulfillment support
• Inventory, back-order, overage, and shortage reports
• Weekly and monthly stakeholder status updates
• Training materials and knowledge base documentation

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily sales orders, shipments, inventory, and billing transactions with a strong focus on EDI-driven workflows.
• Manage, validate, and troubleshoot EDI transactions including 850, 856, 940, 945, 810, and 997.
• Ensure accurate and timely EDI data exchange for Purchase Orders, ASNs, Shipping Orders, Inventory updates, and Invoices.
• Coordinate with internal IT, ERP teams, and external trading partners to resolve EDI mapping, data, and transmission issues.
• Maintain and validate customer and transactional master data across ERP and integrated EDI systems.
• Collaborate with U.S.-based leads to resolve partner-related issues and ensure uninterrupted OTC operations.
• Support order fulfillment by monitoring inventory visibility, shortages, and back-orders.
• Perform root-cause analysis for recurring EDI and OTC issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain incident and ticket resolution logs; contribute to monthly trend and performance reports.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, EDI process documentation, and training materials.
• Partner with 3PLs, external partners, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless order-to-cash execution.
• Provide flexible support across global time zones as required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 35 years of hands-on experience in Order-to-Cash with strong EDI transaction exposure.
• Proven experience working with EDI standards and transaction sets (850, 856, 940, 945, 810, 997).
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent, integrated with EDI platforms.
• Experience in EDI exception handling, partner coordination, and operational support.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for global stakeholder interaction.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or manufacturing industries.
• Exposure to 3PL operations and logistics integrations.
• Knowledge of EDI tools, VANs, or integration platforms.
• Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
• Experience driving process optimization and automation initiatives.
