Roles & Responsibilities

Inpatient (IP) Pharmacist

• Review and dispense medications as per physician prescriptions for admitted patients.
  
• Ensure accurate medication reconciliation at admission, transfer, and discharge.
  
• Monitor drug interactions, contraindications, and dosage accuracy.
  
• Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff to ensure safe and effective medication therapy.
  
• Maintain proper storage, labeling, and inventory control of inpatient medications.
  
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH guidelines, and statutory regulations.
  
• Handle emergency and critical care medication requirements efficiently.
  
• Maintain documentation and records as per hospital and legal standards.
  

Outpatient (OP) Pharmacist

• Dispense medications to outpatients as per valid prescriptions.
  
• Counsel patients on dosage, administration, side effects, and storage of medicines.
  
• Verify prescriptions for accuracy and legality before dispensing.
  
• Manage OP pharmacy inventory, billing, and stock reconciliation.
  
• Ensure compliance with PCI, drug control, and hospital pharmacy regulations.
  
• Handle patient queries and provide medication-related guidance.
  
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper storage of medicines in OP pharmacy.
  

Preferred Candidate Profile

• PCI-registered pharmacist with valid certification.
  
• Minimum

  2+ years of experience

  in both

  Inpatient (IP) and Outpatient (OP) pharmacy

  operations.
• Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy practices and drug regulations.
  
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.
  
• Preference will be given to candidates with

  hospital pharmacy experience

  and exposure to

  NABH standards
