Executive- Supply Chain Planning (Pharmaceuticals)

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Executive in Supply Chain Planning. The position is located in Hyderabad, with some work from home acceptable. The Executive will support end-to-end demand and supply planning activities for pharmaceutical finished good products. The role focuses on forecasting, inventory management, and coordination across functions to ensure timely product availability while maintaining regulatory compliance (DSCSA, FDA, etc.). The ideal candidate brings analytical strength, attention to detail, and hands-on experience with ERP systems and pharma supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

Forecasting & Planning

• Assist in developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts using historical sales and market data.
• Support supply planning to align production, procurement, and distribution with demand projections.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and help drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform data analysis for trend identification, seasonal patterns, and supply disruptions.

Inventory & Logistics Coordination

• Maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing backorders and obsolescence.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, procurement, and 3PL partners for timely order fulfilment.
• Support cold-chain and controlled product logistics planning as required.
• Track product movements and ensure compliance with serialization and DSCSA regulations.

Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure planning and documentation align with cGMP, FDA, DSCSA, and internal quality standards.
• Prepare reports on supply chain KPIs such as fill rate, service level, and inventory turns.
• Participate in audits and support documentation for regulatory or customer requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams to consolidate forecasts.
• Participate in S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) discussions to align demand and supply.
• Communicate planning insights and updates clearly to stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Pharmacy, Engineering, or Business.
• Experience: 25 years of experience in supply chain planning or demand forecasting, preferably in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) or planning tools.
• Basic understanding of serialization and DSCSA compliance preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and Excel/data management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulated, fast-paced environment.
