Position Title: Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

About The Opportunity

A leading provider in the private dental and surgical healthcare sector delivering comprehensive oral surgery, facial trauma care, implantology, and corrective jaw procedures across India. You will join a high-volume, on-site surgical team focused on evidence-based clinical practice, multidisciplinary care, and exceptional patient outcomes.Role & Responsibilities
  • Perform a full range of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures including dentoalveolar extractions, impacted third molar surgery, implant placement, bone grafting and orthognathic corrections with high clinical standards.
  • Manage acute facial trauma and facial fracture care—assessment, surgical planning, open reduction and internal fixation, and follow-up rehabilitation.
  • Provide safe administration and oversight of IV sedation and GA in the dental theatre; coordinate with anaesthesia teams and ensure perioperative safety protocols are followed.
  • Lead pre-op evaluation, obtain informed consent, document surgical plans and postoperative instructions, and manage complications to minimize morbidity and improve recovery.
  • Collaborate with orthodontists, prosthodontists, ENT and plastic surgery teams to deliver integrated treatment plans and multidisciplinary case reviews.
  • Maintain clinical governance: audit outcomes, follow infection-control standards, mentor junior surgeons, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • MDS in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (or equivalent) with valid registration on the Dental Council of India (DCI) / State Dental Council.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on surgical experience in an on-site clinical or hospital setting with demonstrable casework in dentoalveolar, trauma, and implant surgeries.
  • Proven competency in administering/working with IV sedation or general anaesthesia protocols and adherence to perioperative safety and emergency response procedures.

Preferred

  • Experience in orthognathic surgery, TMJ procedures, and complex bone grafting/augmentation.
  • Familiarity with digital treatment planning tools (CBCT planning, surgical guides) and experience leading multidisciplinary clinics.
  • Strong communication skills, patient-focused bedside manner, and prior mentorship/teaching experience.
