Job Summary

Oracle DBA Engineer with strong Automation and Cloud DevOps skills

You will work closely with development, DevOps, and cloud teams to ensure high availability, performance, security, and automated database operations across on-prem and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Oracle Database Administration

• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch

  Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c/21c)

• Manage

  RAC, Data Guard, ASM

  , and backup/recovery using

  RMAN

• Perform database performance tuning, SQL tuning, and capacity planning
  
• Ensure database security, user management, auditing, and compliance
  
• Monitor database health, availability, and performance
  
• Handle production support, incident management, and root cause analysis
  

Automation & DevOps

• Design and implement

  database automation

  using

  Ansible

  and shell scripting
• Build and maintain

  CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins

• Use

  Git

  for source control and versioning of database scripts
• Develop automation workflows using

  Groovy

• Automate infrastructure provisioning using

  Terraform

• Implement

  Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  for database and cloud environments
• Integrate database deployments with DevOps pipelines
  
• Enable automated patching, backups, cloning, and DR processes
  

Cloud & Platform Engineering

• Deploy and manage Oracle databases on

  Cloud platforms (OCI / AWS / Azure as applicable)

• Support cloud-native DevOps and automation strategies
  
• Collaborate with cloud teams on architecture, scalability, and cost optimization
  
• Implement monitoring and logging using cloud-native or third-party tools
  

Collaboration & Leadership

• Work closely with application, DevOps, and SRE teams
  
• Mentor junior DBAs and automation engineers
  
• Contribute to process improvements, documentation, and best practices
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

Mandatory Skills

• 8+ years of experience

  as an Oracle DBA
• Strong expertise in

  Oracle DBA administration

• Hands-on experience with

  Jenkins, Ansible, Git

• Scripting knowledge (Shell, Groovy)
  
• Experience with

  Terraform

• Strong understanding of

  DevOps and CI/CD concepts

• Experience with database automation and IaC
  
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  

Good to Have

• Experience with

  Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

• Exposure to

  AWS/Azure database services

• Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) for DB automation
  
• Experience with monitoring tools (OEM, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
  
• ITIL or Cloud certifications
