Job Summary  
  The Compliance Advisor provides entry level compliance support to the team and coordinates schedules. Develops site, standards and compliance knowledge. Learns to use professional concepts to resolve routine entry issues within a limited scope. Receives detailed instructions on all work.

   Responsibilities  
  2nd Line Responsibilities 
  -   Ensuring that the organization adheres to all relevant health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations, and related risk identification at work place  
-   Incident Investigation and Reporting: Investigating workplace incidents or accidents and reporting findings to appropriate parties  
-   Environmental Management: Implementing strategies for waste management, pollution control, and sustainable practices  
-   Continuous Improvement: Regularly reviewing and updating EHS policies and procedures to improve safety standards  
-   Fields routine communications: requests for assistance, questions, reports of non-compliance, etc.  
-   Fields basic questions, works with manager or senior teammates to compile and communicate responses  
-   Assures team stays current on standards, fielding their requests for training and other newsfeed resources related to EHS topics  
-   Supports and advises 1st Line of Defense on Management Reviews on topics related to EHS  
-   Passes more complex issues to senior teammates  
 
  Audits & Certifications 
  -   Support in ensuring compliance to EHS audits & certifications  
-   Reports any findings to senior staff and relevant stakeholders  
-   Supports rollout of new certifications and sustenance of existing certifications within the sites in scope  
-   Assist in preparing answers to customer questionnaires   
-   Follow up on corrective actions related to audit findings, collect and review audit evidence  
 
  Management Systems 
  -   Provides routine site level logistical support for management review meetings  
-   Supports the basic maintenance of compliance records in local/global repositories, including: records relevant to Operations compliance(Operations Assurance and EHS)  
-   Identify local procedures that need to be developed to comply with local legislative and Equinix requirements  
-   Remain updated with the global/regional policies and processes relevant to the compliance subject assigned and communicate any changes thereof to senior staff and key stakeholders  
 
  Program Management 
  -   Prepares basic reports based on compliance audits and other program data  
-   Support compliance tools/systems under guidance of senior staff within the team  
-   Analyse corrective and preventative actions to identify systemic issues/root causes/delays in EHS related compliance issues  
-   Identifies process improvement initiatives and EHS related compliance projects for the site/country in collaboration with local, regional and/or global stakeholders  
 
  Training 
  -   Maintains training records and the training schedule and logistics, within a limited scope  
-   Assists with follow-up of basic compliance training completion, BCP drills etc.  
-   Implements training plans for standards, regulatory and reporting requirements (i.e., environmental compliance)  
 
  Compliance Implementation 
  -   Fields entry level questions, works with manager or senior teammates to compile and communicate responses  
-   Escalates more complex issues to senior teammates  
-   Tracks actions that are not in compliance with policies in the management system  
-   Evaluate site alignment with Equinix policies and propose corrective actions  
   
   Qualifications  
  -   2+ years of experience in relevant field of compliance preferred  
-   Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably in Environmental / Electrical / Mechanical) or related subject  
-   Certification in ISO14001/45001/50001 or other ISO standards would be an added advantage
