Operational Risk Manager

You should possess a Bachelor's or Masters degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field along with 4 to 7 years of experience in operational risk management, compliance, or internal audit, preferably in the financial services sector. A strong knowledge of risk management frameworks such as Basel, COSO, ISO 31000, and regulatory guidelines is essential for this role. As an Operational Risk Manager, your responsibilities will include developing and implementing operational risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks. You will be required to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risks across business processes to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards. Conducting risk assessments, root cause analysis, and scenario analysis will be crucial in evaluating risk exposures. Your role will also involve establishing key risk indicators (KRIs) and tracking performance against risk appetite thresholds. Collaboration with internal stakeholders to enhance risk awareness and mitigation strategies is an integral part of this position. Performing periodic risk reviews, audits, and control testing to ensure the effectiveness of risk controls is another key aspect of your responsibilities. Supporting incident management by investigating operational losses, identifying corrective actions, and ensuring timely resolution is essential. Reporting and escalating key risk issues to senior management with actionable insights and recommendations is a critical part of this role. It is important to stay updated on regulatory changes, industry trends, and best practices in risk management. Leading training and awareness initiatives to promote a strong risk culture within the organization will also be part of your duties.
