Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Develop and implement production and operations plans to meet business targets and customer requirements.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Production, Procurement, Maintenance, and Quality to ensure smooth plant operations.
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules and ensure adherence to timelines.
Optimize capacity planning, material flow, and resource utilization to enhance efficiency.
Analyze production data and identify areas for improvement in productivity, cost reduction, and process efficiency.
Lead the demand forecasting process in collaboration with Sales and Supply Chain teams.
Manage inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to ensure continuity in production.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
Prepare and present reports on operational performance, production status, and key KPIs to management.
Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or a related field.
MBA in Operations or Supply Chain Management preferred.
10–15 years of experience in operations or production planning within a heavy equipment or capital goods manufacturing industry.
Proven experience in ERP systems (SAP or equivalent) and production planning tools.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, material management, and supply chain coordination.
