Job Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of the hospital to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care, compliance with healthcare regulations, and optimal utilization of resources. The role involves coordination across clinical and non-clinical departments to maintain smooth hospital operations.

Note: This position is designated for a female candidate as per organizational or statutory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Management

  • Oversee daily hospital operations including OPD, IPD, diagnostics, pharmacy, housekeeping, security, and support services.
  • Ensure smooth patient flow, minimal waiting times, and efficient service delivery.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and implement improvement initiatives.

Staff Coordination & Management

  • Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, paramedical and administrative teams.
  • Support workforce planning, duty rosters, leave management, and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies, SOPs, and code of conduct.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with NABH/JCI (if applicable), government health regulations, and internal quality standards.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and accreditation processes.
  • Handle patient feedback, grievances, and service recovery.

Financial & Resource Management

  • Assist in budgeting, cost control, and operational expense monitoring.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of hospital resources, equipment, and consumables.
  • Coordinate with procurement and stores for inventory management.

Patient Experience

  • Maintain high standards of patient care and hospitality.
  • Address patient complaints and ensure timely resolution.
  • Promote patient-centric practices across departments.

Coordination & Reporting

  • Prepare and submit operational reports to hospital leadership.
  • Participate in management meetings and strategic planning discussions.
  • Liaise with vendors, service providers, and external agencies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospital Administration / Healthcare Management / Business Administration
  • Master’s degree (MHA / MBA – Hospital Management) preferred
