Head of Operations Punjab, Uttarakhand & Delhi

Location:

Role Summary

The Head of Operations will be responsible for end-to-end operational planning, execution, and monitoring across Punjab, Uttarakhand, and Delhi. The role requires strong leadership, process management, coordination with field teams and government stakeholders, and ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations & Project Execution

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across Punjab, Uttarakhand, and Delhi.

  • Ensure smooth execution of projects as per defined timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions proactively.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and state-specific guidelines.

2. Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage state and district-level teams.

  • Allocate resources effectively to meet operational requirements.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure team productivity.

  • Build a strong second line of leadership within the operations team.

3. Stakeholder & Government Coordination

  • Liaise with government departments, schools, partners, and other stakeholders.

  • Ensure timely approvals, reporting, and coordination with state authorities.

  • Represent the organization in meetings, reviews, and official discussions.

4. Planning & Reporting

  • Prepare state-wise operational plans, targets, and execution roadmaps.

  • Track KPIs and submit regular reports to senior management.

  • Maintain accurate documentation related to operations, compliance, and audits.

5. Financial & Resource Management

  • Oversee operational budgets and control costs effectively.

  • Ensure timely processing of bills, reimbursements, and vendor payments.

  • Optimize resource utilization to improve efficiency and impact.

6. Quality Control & Process Improvement

  • Ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed across all states.

  • Identify process gaps and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure high-quality delivery of services and programs on the ground.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Operations Management, Business Administration, Social Work, or a related field.

  • 812 years of experience in operations/project management, preferably in multi-state roles.

  • Prior experience working with government projects, education sector, or social impact programs is highly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of field operations and team management.

    • Strong leadership and people management skills.

    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

    • High problem-solving and decision-making capability.

    • Willingness to travel extensively across Punjab, Uttarakhand, and Delhi.

    • Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace and reporting tools.

    • Experience in managing large field teams across multiple states.

    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

    • Strategic thinking with strong execution capability.
