Job Description

Core responsibilities

Cluster Management

:
Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain OpenShift clusters. Monitor performance, manage resource allocation, and implement scaling strategies.
Automation and Scripting

:
Automate repetitive tasks using tools like Ansible and write scripts for cluster management. Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines.
Security and Compliance

:
Implement and enforce security policies, manage access controls (RBAC), patch clusters, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting

:
Monitor cluster health, identify and resolve issues, and perform root cause analysis for OpenShift, Kubernetes, and container-related problems.
Application Support

:
Work closely with development and operations teams to support the deployment of applications, manage services, and assist with application migration.
Backup and Disaster Recovery

:
Develop, test, and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures for the OpenShift environment.
Documentation

:
Create and maintain clear documentation for cluster configurations, operational procedures, and best practices.

Required skills and experience

Strong understanding of OpenShift and Kubernetes architecture.
Experience with container orchestration, networking, and storage.
Proficiency in scripting languages and automation tools.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and related tools.
Familiarity with security best practices in container environments.
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS is often a plus
