JOB Description-

Enterprise Data Solution Architect Role Overview :

Primary role of the Solutions architect in the ESA group is to Support the Data & Analytics Service Line in various areas relating to End-to-end Data Architecture & Data Strategy. The role involves cross functional collaborating with a team of architects & technical expert, delivery / presales and sales organizations including internal CoE. The Solutions Architect may provide delivery assurance through situational leadership to help resolve critical architecture/ design issues in current engagements and help bring back customer confidence or provide delivery excellence by assisting delivery teams in proactive architecture review guidance etc. or support in building & proposing end to end solution for

Proactive or reactive RFPs and even play the critical role as an Enterprise Data Architect in customer engagement after winning a deal by helping the ramp up the delivery team and later oversight periodically.

Summary :

• Overall 14+ years of experience in building & modernizing data platforms on both on prem as well as on Cloud on any of the Hyperscaler primarily Azure/AWS
  
• At least 5 to 8+ years spent in a hands-on technical architect / Enterprise Data Architect roles building complex Reference data architecture / Solution blueprint / solution design for Big data, Data Warehousing & for data modernizations engagement
  
• Minimum 10+ spent in a development lead role with hands on expertise in any 2 of the following areas Data Integration (ETL, Data Migration etc.), Data Management & Governance (MDM, RDM etc.), BI Reporting & Visualization etc.
  
• Experience in building data strategy & Roadmap for various industry domains such as BFSI, manufacturing, Healthcare , Telecom
  
• Knowledge of advanced analytics building data products, data monetization use cases, data as a service etc. and exposure to data mesh / data fabric architecture
  
• Background experience in big data technologies and through knowledge of data warehousing, data engineering and understanding areas like data modeling is crucial
  
• Experience / knowledge in solutioning for RFP/Proactive solutioning as a supporting role is important and solution pitch in front of customers is an added advantage
  
• Delivery Excellence : Support delivery teams with proactive architecture assessments and hands-on technical guidance.
  
• Architectural Leadership : Lead architecture reviews and provide situational guidance to resolve design issues and restore customer confidence.
  
• Presales and Solutioning : Collaborate with sales and presales teams to respond to RFPs and pitch strategic data solutions
  
• Exposure in partnerships & alliance, product evaluations, building or leading CoE, practice activities such as billable utilizations, delivery assurances are added advantages.  
  

Technical Skills :

• At least 2 years of experience leveraging modern technologies like Snowflake / Databricks etc. on at least one of the Hyperscale AWS/Azure/GCP
  
• At least 3+ years’ experience working on big data stack on Cloudera, Hortonworks, HDFS, Hive, Hbase, Scala, Apache Atlas, Kerberos etc.
  
• At least 5+ years’ experience working on Data Warehousing projects & traditional databases like Oracle, Teradata, Netezza etc. with past in depth knowledge in at least one ETL tool such as IDMC, Ab Initio/Data Stage etc. & any reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  
• Strong experience in any of the Data Governance tools like Collibra, Alation, Apache Atlas.
  
• Strong experience in at least one or two database such as Oracle , SQL Server,  Cassandra, Mongo DB, Postgres etc.
  
• Nice to have good understanding of GEN AI fundamentals

• Maintain a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and satisfaction, ensuring delivery meets or exceeds expectations.
  

Technology & Market Adaptation:

• Stay ahead of technology trends in data engineering, cloud computing, and big data platforms to ensure competitive offerings.
  
• Evaluate and adopt emerging tools and frameworks that enhance productivity, performance, and innovation.
  

Cross-Functional Collaboration with Global Teams:

• Collaborate closely with platform engineering, BI, and AI/ML teams to deliver integrated, end-to-end data solutions.
  
• Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating business needs into technical execution.
  
• Promote knowledge sharing and alignment across functional and geographical team boundaries.
  

Process Improvement and Reporting:

• Define and continuously refine best practices in Technology frameworks and operational processes.
  
• Drive improvements in data quality, performance, and governance across the data lifecycle.
  
• Track team utilization and proactively forecast upcoming bench time, ensuring maximum billing efficiency and planning for resource allocation.
  
• Generate and share regular utilization and billing reports with the leadership team to inform resourcing and financial strategies.
  
• Lead initiatives to automate and streamline data processes, reducing manual effort and increasing delivery speed.
