Your Role

As a Tech Lead in Embedded Routing Device Development, you will lead the design and development of firmware and software for advanced networking devices. You’ll guide a team of engineers, drive architecture decisions, and ensure delivery of robust, scalable solutions for OpenWRT or RDK-B based platforms.

In this role, you will:

• Lead a team of embedded engineers in developing routing device firmware.
• Architect and implement solutions for OpenWRT or RDK-B based embedded platforms.
• Customize and optimize components like UCI, netifd, ubus, opkg, and build systems.
• Work on bootloader development and customization (U-Boot).
• Drive development of features related to IP Routing, NAT, Firewall, PON/DSL, IPSec, and Wi-Fi.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex system-level issues using tools like JTAG, GDB, and logic analyzers.

Your Profile

• 8+ years of experience in embedded systems and routing device development.
• Minimum 2 years in a technical leadership role.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with OpenWRT or RDK-B based platforms.
• Strong expertise in UCI, netifd, ubus, opkg, U-Boot, and build systems.
• Deep understanding of IP networking protocols, NAT, Firewall, IPSec, and wireless technologies.
• Proficiency in C programming and Linux kernel internals.
• Experience with debugging tools and board bring-up processes.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
