Job Description

Role Overview: As a Senior Sales Engineer in the OEM Sales division at ABB, you will be responsible for the sales of products, systems, and services within a designated market in Pune, India. Your role will involve achieving qualitative and quantitative sales targets to drive sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also identify and develop new sales opportunities to contribute to the Robotics & Discrete Automation sector. Your work model will be primarily focused on driving sales for industrial automation products and solutions in various industry verticals. Key Responsibilities: - Identify opportunities and drive sales for industrial automation products and solutions. - Achieve sales growth in the designated region as per the planned budget. - Build long-term relationships with OEMs and channel partners. - Expand industry verticals and secure new OEM accounts. - Develop and present proposals, negotiate terms, and close deals. - Ensure smooth project execution and provide post-sale support. - Participate in exhibitions, demos, and monitor market trends. - Conduct regular meetings to understand customer needs and promote additional products. - Update CRM, track customer satisfaction, and monitor market conditions. Qualifications Required: - B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering with 3-8 years of experience in industrial automation sales, particularly in OEM markets. - Proven success in industrial automation sales. - Strong technical understanding of automation systems such as PLCs, HMI, Servo Drives & motors, VFDs. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. - Experience with OEM market trends and customer requirements. - Fluency in English and local languages like Hindi, with a willingness to travel up to 60% within the region. - Experience with leading automation systems like Siemens, Rockwell, Omron, Beckhoff, Mitsubishi, etc. is advantageous. - Experience with machine OEMs in industries such as Packaging, Plastics, Printing, Pharma, etc. is a plus.
