Position Overview

As an Odoo Implementation Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of Odoo ERP solutions to our clients. You will collaborate with clients, business analysts, and internal teams to understand business needs, configure solutions, and guide organizations through the adoption process. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, functional knowledge, and exceptional communication skills to deliver seamless implementations with minimal customization.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Requirement Analysis and Documentation

    : Collaborate with clients and business analysts to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into a comprehensive Business Requirement Document (BRD). Assess Odoos out-of-the-box features against client needs, identifying gaps and proposing solutions that balance functionality and simplicity.
  • Solution Design and Strategy

    : Develop implementation strategies that prioritize out-of-the-box Odoo functionality to minimize customizations. Proactively suggest process simplifications to clients, leveraging Odoo’s capabilities to optimize workflows and ensure scalable, cost-effective solutions.
  • Product Demonstration and Client Engagement

    : Articulate and demonstrate Odoo’s out-of-the-box features to clients, showcasing how the platform meets their business needs. Act as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships and ensuring alignment between client expectations and project deliverables.
  • Functional Expertise

    : Maintain deep knowledge of Odoo’s functional modules (e.g., Sales, CRM, Inventory, Accounting, Manufacturing, HR) and stay updated on new features and updates. Provide expert guidance on module configuration and best practices to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Project Planning and Execution

    : Create detailed implementation flight plans based on project scope, resource capacity, and timelines. Conduct sprint planning, define milestones, and ensure timely delivery of project phases while adhering to agile methodologies.
  • Training and Adoption Support

    : Design and deliver comprehensive training sessions tailored to the client’s organization, enabling end-users to effectively utilize the Odoo platform. Provide ongoing support to drive user adoption and ensure a smooth transition to the new system.
  • Stakeholder Communication

    : Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the implementation process, providing regular updates, managing expectations, and addressing concerns to ensure project success.
  • Quality Assurance and Testing

    : Oversee the configuration and testing of Odoo solutions to ensure they meet client requirements and perform reliably in production environments. Identify and resolve issues in collaboration with technical teams.
  • Continuous Improvement

    : Stay informed about Odoo updates, industry trends, and ERP best practices. Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives and recommend process improvements to enhance service delivery.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience

    : Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in ERP implementation, with at least 3 years working with Odoo. Proven track record of successfully delivering Odoo projects across various industries.
  • Technical Knowledge

    : Strong understanding of Odoos functional modules, configuration, and workflows. Familiarity with Odoos customization framework (e.g., Studio, basic Python scripting) is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills

    : Exceptional ability to analyze complex business processes, identify pain points, and propose efficient solutions.
  • Communication Skills

    : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making.
  • Project Management

    : Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello). Experience in sprint planning and managing project timelines.
  • Problem-Solving

    : Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges during implementation.
  • Certifications

    : Odoo certification (e.g., Odoo Functional Consultant) is highly desirable.
  • Education

    : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in ERP systems are a plus.
