🌱 Job Title: Plant Nutrition Specialist Job Summary: =================== The Plant Nutrition Specialist is responsible for evaluating, developing, and implementing nutrient management strategies to optimize plant health, improve crop yields, and ensure sustainable agricultural practices. This role involves working closely with agronomists, researchers, farmers, and agricultural companies to provide expert guidance on soil fertility, plant nutrient requirements, and fertilizer application. Key Responsibilities: ================= Conduct soil, tissue, and water analyses to assess nutrient levels and deficiencies. Develop and recommend crop-specific nutrition plans based on agronomic data and soil health. Advise on the appropriate use of fertilizers, micronutrients, and soil amendments. Monitor crop response to nutrition programs and adjust strategies accordingly. Collaborate with growers, agronomists, and research teams to trial and validate new nutrition products or techniques. Stay current with scientific research and regulatory guidelines related to plant nutrition and fertilizer use. Support sustainable farming practices by optimizing nutrient efficiency and minimizing environmental impact. Provide technical training and support to sales teams, customers, and field staff. Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Utilize precision agriculture tools and data to inform nutrient management decisions. Required Qualifications: ====================== Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Soil Science, Plant Science, Horticulture, or a related field (Master’s preferred). In-depth knowledge of plant nutrition, soil fertility, and crop management. Experience with laboratory and field diagnostics for plant nutrient analysis. Familiarity with fertilizer types, formulations, and application methods. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency with agricultural software and precision farming technologies. Willingness to travel to farms or field sites as needed. Preferred Skills: =============== Experience working with a variety of crops (e.g., row crops, vegetables, orchards, vineyards). Knowledge of sustainable agriculture and regenerative farming practices. Ability to interpret remote sensing and GIS data. Research or product development experience in plant nutrition or fertilizers. Bilingual capabilities, depending on region and clientele.
