Job Description

• Provide mentorship for the newly joined staff to enhance their clinical knowledge and skill.

• Ensure new joiners adaptability to the new area and monitor their adaptability in periodical intervals.

• Provide orientation for the newly joiners to the clinical areas including schedules (duty hours), area responsibilities, evaluation methods, and overall responsibilities.

• Ensure completion of area orientation and competency bundles in due course.

• Maintain records of mentoring, adaptability and skill will matrix along with department records, reports and files as required.

• Assess nurses clinical competencies and actively involved in privileging process.

• Identify and respond to the training needs of nurses.

• Schedules area wise and need based education programs coordinating with nurse educators

• Participates in planning the staff development program and course outlines in conformance with program objectives and accreditation standards.

• Maintains professional knowledge by affiliating with professional and technical organizations and by participating in applicable continuing education programmes, conferences, seminars and workshops.

Preferred candidate profile

Minimum 2 years of experience as Nurse Educator/ Clinical Instructor from any NABH/JCI accredited Quaternary Hospital.

Nursing education training, advanced study in area of specialization and ACLS/BLS/PALS instructor/provider Course.
