About The Role
As a
Casual Nurse Practitioner
with Wellness Here for Life, you’ll play a pivotal role in providing advanced, evidence-based healthcare within a supportive, patient-centred environment.You will conduct autonomous assessments, diagnoses and treatments aligned with your scope of practice and DBG Health Clinical Practice Guidelines, helping deliver high-quality care across a range of pharmacy-based wellness clinics.This is an excellent opportunity for Nurse Practitioners seeking flexible, community-based work that combines clinical autonomy with strong professional support.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced nursing assessment, diagnosis and care to patients across designated pharmacy wellness clinics.
- Prescribe medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and provide referrals as appropriate.
- Administer vaccines and promote immunisation awareness, ensuring compliance with all national guidelines.
- Manage patient conditions and treatment plans in accordance with DBG Health Clinical Practice Guidelines.
- Collaborate with pharmacists, medical practitioners, and allied health professionals to optimise patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, ensuring adherence to privacy, confidentiality and risk management standards.
- Participate in continuous professional development, clinical governance initiatives and quality improvement programs.
- Contribute to patient education, health promotion and community health initiatives within the wellness clinic setting.
Skills & Experience
- Current AHPRA registration and endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with a relevant and approved scope of practice (e.g., Primary Health, Immunisation, Community Health, Family Health or Acute Care).
- Demonstrated experience in autonomous clinical practice, assessment and management of acute and chronic conditions.
- Previous experience in vaccination services and community or primary health settings.
- Excellent clinical judgement, patient communication and critical thinking skills.
- Strong computer literacy (Microsoft 365, patient management systems, digital clinical tools).
- Current First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis certification.
- Current Driver Licence and reliable transport for travel to clinic sites.
Desirable:
- Experience within pharmacy or primary healthcare environments.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Exposure to telehealth, preventative health or wellness programs.
