Job Title: NPD Engineer (New Product Development) – Pump IndustryExperience Required: 3–5 YearsLocation: [Insert Location]Qualification:

• B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support New Product Development (NPD) projects in pumps and pump components.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Design, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain) to deliver new product designs on time.
• Prepare 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs using CAD tools (SolidWorks/AutoCAD/Creo).
• Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards in design and drawing release.
• Conduct design validation, tolerance stack-up, and failure analysis to ensure product reliability.
• Support prototype development, testing, and validation of new pump designs.
• Collaborate with suppliers for manufacturability and cost optimization of components.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Participate in value engineering, reverse engineering, and product improvement initiatives.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of pump design, components, and applications.
• Proficiency in GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering drawings.
• Hands-on experience with SolidWorks / AutoCAD / Creo or similar CAD tools.
• Good understanding of materials, machining, casting, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Background:

• Experience in centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps, or industrial pump applications.
• Knowledge of hydraulic performance testing and product validation is an added advantage.
• Exposure to APQP, PPAP, and product development lifecycle (PDLC) will be preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
