JJob Title: H-Boring / Jig Boring Machine Operator

Reporting To: Production Supervisor / Machine Shop Head

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Horizontal Boring / Jig Boring Machine Operator to set up and operate precision boring machines for machining of complex and high-accuracy components. The candidate must have strong knowledge of boring operations, job setting, tool selection, and interpretation of engineering drawings with tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Horizontal Boring / Jig Boring Machines as per process requirements.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and tolerance specifications.
• Perform job setup including alignment, clamping, tool setting, and work offset adjustments.
• Carry out boring, facing, drilling, reaming, and related machining operations.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per drawing requirements.
• Inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Dial Gauge, Height Gauge, etc.).
• Perform fine alignment for close tolerance machining.
• Record production and inspection data in log sheets.
• Conduct basic preventive maintenance and cleaning of the machine.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and discipline in the work area.

Qualifications & Skills:

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Tool & Die Making or equivalent.
• 3–8 years of experience in operating Horizontal Boring / Jig Boring Machines.
• Strong knowledge of machining practices and precision boring.
• Ability to work with close tolerances and complex components.
• Skilled in using measuring instruments and gauges for inspection.
• Knowledge of tooling, cutting parameters, and machining strategies.
• Basic understanding of GD&T.
• Willingness to work in shifts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
