Job Description: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Monitoring Engineer with 6+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, AppDynamics, Site24x7 and AWS. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and performance of critical infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments by effectively utilizing monitoring tools. Key Responsibilities: Monitoring and Performance Management: Set up, configure, and manage monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Site24x7, AppDynamics, AWS) for proactive monitoring of applications, servers, network infrastructure, and cloud environments. Perform real-time analysis of system performance to identify bottlenecks, slowdowns, or irregularities across multiple systems. Generate reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights on system health, uptime, and performance. Incident Management: Monitor and respond to system alerts in a timely manner, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution of issues. Work with cross-functional teams to resolve performance issues and incidents in a collaborative manner. Escalate issues when necessary and provide documentation and root cause analysis after resolution. Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis: Utilize basic troubleshooting knowledge of monitoring tools to resolve issues related to system performance, availability, and resource utilization. Collaborate with other technical teams to diagnose and resolve complex incidents or issues. Communication and Stakeholder Management: Regularly communicate with stakeholders to understand monitoring requirements, gather inputs, and identify potential monitoring gaps. Collaborate with teams to define and implement monitoring strategies that meet business needs. Provide timely updates to stakeholders on ongoing incidents, health reports, and any adjustments made to monitoring setups. Continuous Improvement: Review and analyse historical performance data to suggest improvements or optimizations to the monitoring setup. Ensure the monitoring framework evolves with changing technology landscapes, keeping up with new tools or updates in existing tools. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain detailed and organized documentation of monitoring configurations, thresholds, and alerting rules. Share knowledge of monitoring tools, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices with team members. Required Skills & Qualifications: · 6+ years of experience working as a Monitoring Engineer or in a similar role with hands-on experience using monitoring tools like SolarWinds · Proficiency in setting up and configuring monitoring tools for infrastructure, network, and application monitoring · Basic troubleshooting skills for performance, network, and application-related issues · Familiarity with key performance indicators (KPIs) for monitoring and system optimization · Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders · Ability to analyse system performance data and translate it into actionable insights Show more Show less
