Key Responsibilities
Track performance of servers, networks, batch processes, and applications; identify and resolve operational irregularities.
Run scheduled jobs, scripts, backups, and automated workflows; verify successful completion.
Diagnose hardware, software, and system issues; escalate to senior IT staff when needed.
Perform daily system backups, verify data integrity, and initiate recovery tasks according to procedures.
Log issues, errors, and downtime events; generate shift reports for IT management.
Perform system updates, antivirus checks, log cleanup, and other routine maintenance during low-traffic hours.
Monitor system access, verify user authentication, and follow security protocols.
Communicate with day-shift teams during handovers, providing detailed summaries of tasks performed and issues encountered.
