New Product Development Manager

Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Development & Design

• Develop and review design prototypes, conduct trials/tests, and finalize product designs for mass production.
  
• Create new product concepts ensuring technical compatibility and market relevance.
  

2. Market & Technology Research

• Conduct market research to identify trends, consumer needs, and opportunities.
  
• Evaluate new components, materials, and technologies for feasibility and performance.
  

3. Project & Process Management

• Prepare detailed project plans with technical objectives, timelines, and cost estimates.
  
• Lead multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and quality execution.
  
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality) for smooth product launches.
  

4. Vendor & Production Management

• Identify, onboard, and manage vendors for raw materials (RM) and packaging materials (PM).
  
• Oversee 3rd party manufacturing, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely deliveries.
  
• Maintain accurate RM and PM stock forecasts and updates.
  

5. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure all products meet legal, regulatory, and food safety standards.
  
• Draw product specifications and perform regular quality checks.
  
• Participate in Lean Six Sigma (LSS) programs for continuous product improvement.
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors/Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or related field.
  
• 3–7 years of experience in New Product Development in FMCG/Food & Beverage.
  
• Strong knowledge of food safety, legal compliance, and quality standards.
  
• Proficiency in vendor management and production coordination.
  
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  
• Ability to work independently with ownership and accountability.
