New Product Development Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Planning development new project and customer plan as a Project Engineer

• Leading projects with the concept of SE to eliminate issues during design/development.

• Preparing preliminary BOM and doing a feasibility study for new technology.

• Doing design review & provide inputs to the design team by reviewing the 3D data.

• New Project profitability achievement with a deep draw on 4M Category analysis.

• Ensure that past car problems are not repeated in the new projects by design review.

• Verification of Gate Shop #1 with 3D data and ensure flawless drawing before 4M starts.

• Ensure the 4M development at the overseas plant as per the requirement by onsite visit.

• Running initial trial production and troubleshooting the problems at all levels.

• Management of SCCAF & Control of the KPC, KCC of the Product.

• Gate shop #3 validation of product at full tool condition to determine the mass production quality level of the product.

• Monitoring the Customer end issues & taking swift action to solve issues in time.

• Issuing 4M changes and educating concerned departments on the ECO to ensure smooth changes. Reducing the Internal EO cost through Robust design, Collaboration & Communication.

• Manage the Engineering change in the current running model & Monitor 4M Change Management.

• Cost Reduction, VA/VE, Bench Marking activities. Optimize input Raw material sizes and verify RM weight.

• Profit analysis and cost impact of localization

• New Innovation & suggestions of Localization, R/M Change, Source change, Process change, Sub assembly outsourcing to minimize cost difference

• Negotiate part price based on cost differences between quotation price and SOP price in correspondence to the engineering changes, and material cost changes.

• Cost Reduction, VA/VE, Bench Marking activities. Optimize input Raw material sizes and verify RM weight.

Preferred candidate profile

• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, Control Plan, G8D, and QC tools.

• Selection of suppliers based on their capacity, capability, and profitability to the company.

• Plastic Injection molding knowledge and Raw Material (ABS / PC / PA66 / PMMA / Etc,.)

• Injection Mold basic correction Knowledge. (Ejection, Cooling)
