Job Summary:

The New Business Specialist is responsible for handling end-to-end processing of new business applications within the insurance domain. This role ensures timely and accurate verification, coordination, and issuance of policies in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams to ensure seamless policy onboarding and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process new business applications efficiently and accurately within defined timelines.
  • Review and verify policy documents, forms, and applications as per company guidelines and compliance standards.
  • Coordinate with Underwriting, Operations, and Sales teams to ensure smooth and timely policy issuance.
  • Ensure strict adherence to regulatory and organizational compliance throughout the new business process.
  • Track, identify, and resolve discrepancies in proposals, premium payments, and documentation.
  • Provide professional support to internal stakeholders and customers regarding policy status, queries, and requirements.
  • Maintain and regularly update MIS and reports related to new business applications and process metrics.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to defined Turnaround Times (TATs) and service level agreements.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline (preferred).
  • years of experience in New Business Processing, Policy Issuance, or related Insurance Operations (Life or Annuity preferred).
  • Strong understanding of insurance processes, documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and policy administration systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and perform in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.
