About the Role

Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain

  LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks

  .
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure

  optimal performance and uptime

  .
• Configure and manage

  routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices

  .
• Implement network

  security measures

  , including firewalls, access control, and VPNs.
• Conduct

  network assessments, audits, and risk analysis

  .
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate

  network solutions

  with servers, applications, and cloud platforms.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and asset inventories.
  
• Support network-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, and expansions.
  
• Provide

  technical support

  and guidance to end-users or other IT staff.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in

  Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

  .
• Proven experience as a

  Network Engineer, Network Administrator, or similar role

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  network protocols

  (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with

  routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers

  .
• Familiarity with

  network monitoring and diagnostic tools

  (Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG).
• Knowledge of

  VPN, VLAN, and subnetting

  concepts.
• Understanding of

  network security principles

  and best practices.
• Experience with

  cloud networking

  (AWS VPC, Azure VNets) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as

  CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS

  .
• Experience with

  SD-WAN, MPLS, or software-defined networking

  .
• Familiarity with

  firewall and security solutions

  (Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
• Knowledge of

  network automation and scripting

  (Python, Ansible).
