Network Specialist

As a Network Specialist, your role will involve a combination of customer support and network operations. You will be responsible for hands-on troubleshooting using various network devices and tools. **Key Responsibilities:** - Providing First Call Support to co-location and network customers. - Monitoring network health and responding to event alarms. - Analyzing network traffic patterns and responding to security issues. - Assisting with provisioning, implementation, and supporting of customers. - Working with Cisco, Juniper, and Foundry router/switches, Netscreen and Juniper firewalls, and Foundry load balancers. - Collaborating closely with the network engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve advanced network issues. **Qualifications Required:** - Degree or diploma in computer science, or equivalent education. - Minimum 2 years of hands-on network experience desired. - Strong grasp of TCP/IP, routing, switching, cabling, internet protocols (BGP, ISIS, and OSFP), firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers. - Advanced knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, and Foundry hardware and software. - In-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows environment. - Certifications with Cisco and/or Juniper (CCNA/CCNP/JNCIA) preferred. - Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Self-motivated, adaptable, and a quick learner. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Well-developed customer service skills. - Flexibility to work shifts under a rotation schedule that includes overnight shifts.,
