Network Security Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Job Summary:

Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Strong understanding of

  LAN/WAN architecture

  ,

  routing/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)

  ,

  Configuration of Cisco or Similar CLI based devices

  and

  network troubleshooting

• Implement and manage network segmentation, access control policies, and VPNs to ensure secure communications between hybrid environments.
• Configure and maintain

  enterprise-grade firewalls

  , including

  Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet FortiGate

  and GCP

  Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW)

  .

• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement proactive improvements.

• Troubleshoot issues related to Network traffic flow or access issues

• Participate in network security audits, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.
• Work with vendors/ISPs to get branch issues resolved in a timebound manner and provide technical guidance to branch user
• Collaborate with Infosec and DevOps teams to ensure secure, automated, and scalable network architecture
• Managing stakeholders expectations by communication, updates and discussion
• Working with Suppliers and OEM TAC teams to resolve Network issues in timebound manner

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ Years of experience working in Network Products (Cisco, HPE Aruba, Arista, Palo Alto, Fortinet)
• Experience with Cloud platforms like Azure,GCP,AWS
• Proficiency with network monitoring tools such as

  SolarWinds, Wireshark

  , etc.
• Experience of Regulatory and Compliance requirement and adherence
  

Preferred Certifications:

Cisco CCNA/CCNP
