Job Title: Network Engineer Location: Kolkata, India Experience: 4+ Years Professional Summary: A dedicated Network Engineer with over 4 years of experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting complex network infrastructures. Proven expertise in routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP, as well as in network monitoring and performance optimization. Adept at coordinating with multiple stakeholders and ISPs to ensure maximum uptime and seamless connectivity. Key Responsibilities: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot networks using routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP. Implement and manage switching technologies including STP, VLAN, RSTP, and EtherChannel. Visit data centers as needed to address technical glitches, perform hardware diagnostics, or support infrastructure maintenance. Configure and monitor Network Access Servers (NAS). Coordinate with multiple stakeholders and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to resolve network issues. Provide technical support to customers for all network-related concerns. Monitor network performance and proactively resolve ongoing issues. Coordinate with operators and support teams to address and resolve their network challenges. Maintain maximum uptime of network connectivity. Collaborate with vendors for hardware issue resolution and asset management. Manage multiple complex tasks concurrently, adhering to tight deadlines. Must-Have Technical Skills: Routing Protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, Static Routing Switching Technologies: STP, VLAN, RSTP, EtherChannel Operating Systems: Cisco IOS, Windows Redundancy Protocols: HSRP Hardware (Routers): Cisco, Huawei, MikroTik Hardware (Switches): Cisco, Maipu, Huawei, D-Link, TP-Link, NetGear OLT Devices: Optilink, Syrotech, Astra, Technxt, Revo Nice-to-Have Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Experience with network monitoring tools such as Wireshark or SolarWinds Show more Show less
