Description
As a Technical Consulting Engineer (L3) at our company, you will be part of a high-performing Customer Experience (CX) support team dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences by addressing complex technical issues and providing expert-level support. Your expertise in advanced networking and hands-on experience with Cisco technologies will play a crucial role in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues related to networking infrastructure and technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate closely with extended regional teams to provide business-critical services to high-value customers. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues concerning networking infrastructure and technologies. - Develop in-depth understanding of networking products and technologies. - Provide phone/email consultations to independently debug product issues reported by enterprise customers. - Serve as a technical point of contact for fellow engineers and stakeholders. - Offer technical support for Cisco technologies, products, and solutions. - Resolve moderately to highly complex technical issues based on customer requirements. - Replicate technical problems in lab environments for testing and issue replication. - Document technical findings and contribute to internal knowledge bases. - Deliver internal/external technical presentations and cross-training sessions. - Escalate product-related issues to relevant business units for enhancements or bug fixes. - Continuously enhance core technical knowledge through hands-on exposure and training. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical field. - 8-10 years of proven experience in technical consulting, design, deployment, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure. - Strong hands-on experience with Cisco IP and Optical Routers (e.g., ASR9912, ASR9910, ASR9903, Cisco 8000 series). - Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE (Routing & Switching / Service Provider) are highly preferred. - Advanced expertise in networking protocols and service configurations including: OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS (LDP, TE), RSVP, L3VPN, VPWS, VPLS, Segment Routing, VXLAN, LISP, IPv6. - Solid understanding of switching technologies: STP, RSTP, MSTP, VTP, VSS, vPC, vDC, LACP, VLAN, VXLAN, EVPN. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for debugging complex issues. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify and explain complex technical data to customers and peers. - Ability to create technical documentation and share knowledge effectively within the team and across departments.
