Position summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network L2 Engineer to support the enterprise network infrastructure of our global clients in a 24x7 operational environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing corporate network environments, both on-premises and cloud-based, and will be responsible for resolving complex technical issues, driving infrastructure improvements, and supporting critical network operations.
Note:
This position is specifically designed for professionals with a background in corporate or enterprise networking. Candidates whose experiences are primarily in ISP NOC operations, telecom core infrastructure, customer provisioning, desktop support, field support (across ISP, telecom, or banking sectors), or Level 1 monitoring roles are therefore discouraged from applying.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and support enterprise-grade network infrastructure, including hybrid cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
Configure and troubleshoot network components including routers, switches, SD-WAN, firewalls, VPNs, wireless controllers, and load balancers
Manage cloud networking components such as VPCs, VNets, NSGs, subnets, and cloud gateways
Provide L2-level troubleshooting for complex network and infrastructure issues
Independently perform L2-level activities for infrastructure upgrades, hardware refreshes, patching
Execute network changes following ITIL-based incident and change management practices
Participate in major incident management (P1/P2) and support on-call rotations
Ensure compliance with security and audit standards; participate in infra audits
Collaborate with vendors for issue resolution and escalations
Mentor L1 team, support knowledge sharing, and drive operational excellence in shift-based support
Contribute to internal documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base updates
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Total Experience: 4 to 7 years
Relevant Network Experience (Enterprise/Corporate): 3 to 6 years
Proven hands-on L2-level experience with enterprise networking technologies
(Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, AWS, Azure, etc.)
Familiarity with network security best practices and configurations
Ability to work in 24x7 shift operations, including night/weekend rotations
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors in Computer Science/IT/Electronics Engineering, M.C.A. or equivalent University degree
Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent
Exposure to infra audits, compliance processes, and security controls
Strong documentation, verbal and written communication skills
Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
