Job Description

As a Network Engineer, your role involves troubleshooting and maintaining various network technologies such as VLAN, VTP, STP, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, VSS, VPC, Wireless Controller, Cisco iWAN, WAAS, VPN Tunnels, WAN, ISE, Cisco ACS, Cisco Prime, IPAM, DHCP server, Infoblox, and Cloud technology. You will be responsible for establishing network specifications, evaluating network performance, securing the network, and upgrading network infrastructure. Your duties also include providing training programs to users, assisting junior team members, and following ITIL Incident Management guidelines. Additionally, you should be customer-centric, proactive in issue resolution, and maintain a positive attitude in the team environment. Key Responsibilities: - Establish network specifications by analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements - Evaluate network performance issues and plan the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment - Perform network monitoring, analysis, performance tuning, and troubleshooting network problems - Develop network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation while maintaining documentation - Design and conduct training programs for users and provide references and support - Upgrade network infrastructure by developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements - Provide incident response and resolution as part of the 24x7 Network Operations Center - Translate client requirements into detailed actions for execution and follow detailed change management and incident management processes - Communicate with other technical teams regarding Firewall/Routing/Switching operations - Work in a fast-paced operations environment and troubleshoot DC environment incidents - Analyze network and recommend upgrades/changes to assess current and future network needs - Responsible for the daily performance and availability of the network security infrastructure - Provide technical leadership within a highly technical team - Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with ITIL Incident Management guidelines - Follow the ticketing process according to the defined change request phases - Achieve team and personal performance goals as defined by the company - Accept and work on tickets assigned to the queue on time Qualifications Required: - 3+ years of relevant technical experience in Network support/operations - Very good knowledge of routing switching and routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) - Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in F5 & Citrix Load balancer - Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in Cisco Nexus platform - Good Knowledge of L2, L3 Protocols for IP Networks such as DHCP, DNS, VLAN, PPP, ICMP, ARP, NAT, QoS, etc. - CCNP certification preferable Please note: Additional details of the company are not provided in the job description.
