Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and VPNs.
Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure minimal downtime.
Implement and manage network security policies, firewalls, and access controls.
Maintain network documentation, asset inventory, and backup systems.
Coordinate with IT vendors/service providers for maintenance, upgrades, and issue resolution.
Ensure compliance with institutional IT policies and data protection standards.

Preferred candidate profile

Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Experience:
3–5 years in network administration (experience in the education sector preferred).
Technical Skills:
Hands-on experience with Cisco/HP/Juniper networking devices, TCP/IP protocols, LAN/WAN, firewall configuration, and VPN setup.
Certifications:
CCNA or CCNP are preferred.
Soft Skills:
Strong troubleshooting skills, problem-solving ability, and clear communication.
