Role Overview: As a Network Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall health and performance of the company's computer network. Your primary tasks will include installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network hardware and software. You will also focus on network security, performance optimization, and providing user support. Key Responsibilities: - Network Installation and Configuration: You will be in charge of installing and configuring network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and servers. - Hardware and Software Maintenance: Your role will involve maintaining and updating network hardware, software, and operating systems. - Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: You will investigate and resolve network connectivity issues, performance problems, and security breaches. - Security Management: Implementing and enforcing security policies, monitoring network activity for suspicious behavior, and protecting against cyber threats. - Network Monitoring and Performance Optimization: You will monitor network performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve speed and efficiency. - User Support: Providing technical support to users experiencing network-related issues and ensuring a smooth user experience. - Documentation and Training: Your responsibilities will include documenting network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps, as well as providing training to users on network resources. - Network Design and Implementation: Assisting in the design and implementation of new network infrastructure or upgrades to existing systems. - Staying Up-to-Date: Keeping abreast of the latest network technologies, security threats, and best practices. Qualifications Required: - Experience in network administration or a related field. - Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network devices. - Strong knowledge of network security protocols and best practices. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively. - Good communication and interpersonal skills.
