NBFC Loan Accounting & Implementation

Roles & Responsibilities

• Own

  loan-level accounting design and implementation

  for NBFCs on the Graviton platform
• Define and validate accounting treatment for:
  
• Loan disbursement, EMI, Pre-EMI
  
• Interest accrual, income recognition
  
• Principal vs interest split
  
• Penal interest, bounce charges, foreclosures, part-payments
  
• Implement and validate

  accrual vs cash accounting logic

• Handle

  NPA accounting

  , including:
• NPA classification (Sub-Standard, Doubtful, Loss Assets)
  
• Interest suspense and income reversal
  
• Loan loss provisioning as per RBI norms
  
• Ensure accounting compliance with

  RBI NBFC guidelines

• Apply

  Ind AS concepts relevant to NBFCs and lending institutions

• Manage

  GST and TDS accounting impact

  on lending transactions
• Support preparation and validation of:
  
• Trial Balance
  
• P&L
  
• Balance Sheet
  
• Work closely with:
  
• NBFC Finance, Accounts, and Audit teams
  
• Graviton Product & Engineering teams
  
• Translate real-world NBFC accounting practices into

  system workflows

• Assist in

  LMS / Accounting system migrations

  and parallel runs
• Support UAT, audits, reconciliations, and go-live activities
  
• Identify accounting gaps, mismatches, and edge cases and drive resolution
  

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 8+ years of experience

  in

  NBFC / Lending accounting

• Strong hands-on understanding of:
  
• Loan-level accounting
  
• Accrual concepts
  
• NPA accounting and provisioning
  
• Practical knowledge of

  how NBFCs and lending institutions operate

• Good understanding of:
  
• Financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance)
  
• RBI guidelines impacting NBFC accounting
  
• Exposure to

  Ind AS, GST, and TDS

  in a lending environment
• Experience working with or implementing accounting / LMS systems such as:
  
• Tally
  
• Microsoft Dynamics
  
• Zoho Books
  
• Jaguar
  
• AllCloud
  
• Pennant
  
• FinnOne Neo
  
• Ability to:
  
• Work with auditors and senior finance stakeholders
  
• Explain accounting logic clearly to product and tech teams
  
• Experience in system implementation, consulting, or migrations is a strong plus
  

Education (Preferred)

• CA / CMA / MBA (Finance)
  
• Strong practical NBFC accounting experience is mandatory
