As Sales Director, you will lead the growth of our School Education business, driving adoption of innovative products and expanding our market presence. Opportunity –

As Sales Director, you will be responsible for delivering budgeted sales growth, expanding the user school base, and increasing revenue market share. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing sales strategies and Go-to-Market plans for school adoption.
  • Driving adoption of digital and blended learning products.
  • Implementing best-in-class sales processes and governance frameworks.
  • Building sales team capability through structured interventions in collaboration with HR, Product, and Finance.
  • Reviewing and updating sales policies to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
  • Monitoring competitor activities and enhancing competitive positioning.
  • Staying updated on technological changes impacting the school business and recommending innovations.
  • Setting sales budgets, managing overheads, and co-creating credit policies.
  • Optimizing organizational structures to maximize efficiency and growth.
  • Building strong relationships with key customers, booksellers, and educational institutions.
  • Collaborating with marketing and product teams to ensure market-aligned product development and pricing.
  • Upholding the highest standards of business ethics and reinforcing OUP’s public image.

Your leadership will directly impact OUP’s ability to deliver educational excellence and maintain its position as a trusted partner in the school education sector.

About You

Essential Criteria:

  • PGDM/MBA degree.
  • 15–20 years of sales experience in a professionally managed organization, including senior managerial roles.
  • Proven experience in leading large teams and driving sales growth.
  • Strong understanding of customer relationship management and performance management tools.
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen, problem-solving skills, and sound judgment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for managing relationships across all organizational levels and remote teams.
  • High integrity, dependability, and results orientation.
