Job Title : National Head- Gold Loan
Location : Thrissur

Profit & Loss (P&L) management
Strategy and Business Growth
P&L Ownership:
Full responsibility for the Gold Loan portfolio's national P&L
, including revenue targets, cost management, and profitability.Strategic Planning:
Design and execute a national strategy
for the Gold Loan vertical to achieve aggressive Assets Under Management (AUM)
and market share growth.Product Management:
Oversee the development, design, and pricing of new Gold Loan products and schemes to remain competitive and meet diverse customer needs (e.g., Agri Gold Loans, Business Gold Loans).Market Expansion:
Identify new geographies and market segments for expansion. Develop and execute a roadmap for branch roll-out
and optimization of existing branch networks for Gold Loan services.
Operations and Risk Management
Operational Excellence:
Standardize and streamline Gold Loan operational processes across all branches for efficiency, speed, and customer experience. This includes application processing, gold valuation, storage, and release.Risk and Audit Compliance:
Implement robust risk management frameworks
to mitigate operational risks, including fraud, valuation discrepancies, and loss/damage of collateral. Ensure strict adherence to Reserve Bank of India (RBI)
guidelines and internal bank policies.Collateral Security:
Oversee the integrity and security of the gold storage process, including vault management, periodic audits, and insurance arrangements.Asset Quality:
Maintain and improve the portfolio quality
by actively monitoring Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) and devising effective collection and recovery strategies
, including the auction process.
Sales and Marketing
Sales Strategy:
Develop high-impact national sales and marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition and cross-selling, leveraging the bank's existing customer base.Digital Integration:
Champion the adoption of digital and technological initiatives
to enhance the customer journey (e.g., online application, e-KYC, digital payment options).Partnerships:
Build and manage strategic alliances with Business Correspondents (BCs), fintech companies, and other partners to expand reach.
Team Leadership and Management
Talent Development:
Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing leadership team for Gold Loan operations and sales at regional and zonal levels.Performance Management:
Set clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs
) for the entire Gold Loan vertical and monitor performance against targets. Foster a performance-driven culture.
Key Skills and Competencies
Deep Industry Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of the Gold Loan business cycle, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.P&L and Business Acumen:
Proven track record of managing large-scale P&L
and delivering sustained business growth.Regulatory Knowledge:
Comprehensive understanding of RBI regulations
, KYC/AML norms, and all compliance requirements related to Gold Loans.Leadership:
Exceptional ability to lead, motivate, and manage large, geographically dispersed teams.Risk Management:
