National Fire Safety Manager

As Purplle continues to expand its operational footprint with 13 warehouses and 16 dark stores across India, the importance of centralized and robust fire safety compliance has become critical. We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic National Fire Safety Manager to lead our fire safety efforts at a national level. This role will ensure a consistent and proactive approach to fire prevention, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance across all locations. Key Responsibilities:- Ensure Uniform Compliance: Ensure adherence to all national, state, and local fire safety regulations, codes, and licensing requirements across all warehouses and dark stores. Mitigate Risk: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate fire-related risks to protect employees, inventory, and infrastructure. Centralize Expertise: Provide expert guidance and oversight on fire prevention systems, emergency preparedness, equipment maintenance, and incident response protocols. Enhance Safety Culture: Drive a strong safety-first culture by promoting awareness, preparedness, and compliance with fire safety norms throughout the organization. Compliance Licensing: Manage and track all necessary fire safety licenses and certifications. Ensure timely renewals and audits across all locations. Risk Assessments: Conduct regular site audits and fire risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. Equipment Oversight: Oversee maintenance, testing, and functionality of all fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems in coordination with local teams. Training Drills: Develop and implement fire safety training programs and evacuation drills for warehouse and dark store staff. Incident Management: Lead investigations of fire incidents or safety breaches. Prepare reports and implement preventive actions. Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with external agencies such as the Fire Brigade, local municipalities, and licensing authorities to ensure full legal compliance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Fire Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field (preferred) Minimum 810 years of relevant experience in fire safety management across multi-location facilities In-depth knowledge of national and state fire safety regulations and standards Strong leadership and communication skills Note: This is a critical leadership role intended to streamline and centralize fire safety governance across all operational sites. The ideal candidate will bring strategic oversight and hands-on experience in implementing best-in-class fire safety practices.
