Assistant Manager -EHS

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, Factories Act, Pollution Control Board norms, and other statutory regulations.
  
• Coordinate for obtaining, renewing, and maintaining statutory licenses (CTE, CTO, Hazardous Waste Authorization, Fire NOC, etc.).
  
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports (Form IV, monthly environmental reports, waste disposal records, etc.).
  

2. Safety Management

• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments (HIRA, JSA, MOC).
  
• Implement and monitor safety systems such as lockouttagout (LOTO), work permits, confined space entry, and chemical handling protocols.
  
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare RCA and implement CAPA.
  

3. Environment Management

• Monitor air emissions, effluent treatment, waste management, noise levels, and ensure compliance with PCB guidelines.
  
• Oversee hazardous and non-hazardous waste storage, segregation, and disposal as per SOP & regulatory norms.
  
• Support sustainability initiatives—energy conservation, wastewater recycling, pollution reduction.
  

4. Health & Industrial Hygiene

• Conduct periodic health check-ups for employees and contract workers.
  
• Monitor exposure to chemicals, noise, dust, and ensure adequate controls and PPE availability.
  
• Lead emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills and mock drills.
  

5. Documentation & Training

• Develop and maintain SOPs, MSDS, risk registers, emergency response plans, and training records.
  
• Conduct internal EHS training sessions for employees and contract workers.
  
• Maintain EHS performance dashboards and implement continuous improvement measures.
  

6. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with Production, QA/QC, Engineering, HR, and Maintenance teams to drive EHS compliance.
  
• Act as a liaison between plant teams and external auditors/inspectors.
