About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MySQL Database Developer with strong expertise in stored procedures, dynamic SQL, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and fine-tuning high-performance database solutions that support large-scale applications and mission-critical operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesDatabase Development

• Design, develop, and maintain complex stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Write dynamic SQL queries for flexible, data-driven business logic.
• Create and manage normalized and denormalized schemas based on system requirements.

Performance & Optimization

• Implement effective indexing strategies to optimize read/write performance.
• Analyze execution plans, tune queries, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Conduct performance audits and apply optimization techniques to ensure system scalability.

Monitoring & Maintenance

• Implement and manage event scheduling and job monitoring for proactive issue detection.
• Ensure data integrity, availability, and security through proper use of transactions, isolation levels, and locking mechanisms.
• Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to integrate database solutions seamlessly.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong expertise in stored procedures and business logic implementation.
• Advanced SQL skills: joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions, dynamic SQL generation.
• Proven ability in index creation, optimization, and query performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with query plan analysis and optimizer hints.
• Good understanding of transactions, isolation levels, and locking mechanisms.
• Experience in event scheduling and monitoring tools.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of partitioning, replication, and high-availability setups.
• Basic scripting experience in Python or Shell for automation.
• Exposure to cloud-based MySQL platforms (AWS RDS, Azure Database for MySQL, GCP Cloud SQL).
