About the Opportunity

Active in the K-12 Education & Performing Arts sector, our institution delivers holistic, curriculum-aligned music education that nurtures creativity and performance confidence in young learners. We are seeking a passionate Instrumental Music Teacher to conduct engaging, standards-based lessons one day per week at our Devanahalli, Bangalore campus.

Role & Responsibilities

Plan and teach dynamic instrumental classes (guitar, keyboard, percussion, or strings) for grades 1-10, aligning with CBSE/ICSE objectives.
Demonstrate techniques, music theory, and sight-reading through interactive, student-centred sessions.
Prepare students for assemblies, recitals, inter-school competitions, and annual day performances.
Assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate grade records.
Coordinate with homeroom and arts faculty to integrate music into cross-curricular projects.
Manage classroom equipment, ensuring safe use and timely maintenance of instruments.

Skills & Qualifications Must-Have

Bachelor s degree in Music Performance or Music Education.
Minimum 2 years teaching instrumental music in a school or studio setting.
Proficiency on at least one core instrument (keyboard, guitar, or violin).
Strong knowledge of Western and Indian music theory, notation, and pedagogy.
Ability to commute to Devanahalli every assigned teaching day.

Preferred

Experience preparing students for Trinity/ABRSM grade exams.
Familiarity with digital audio workstations and online learning tools.
Certification in Kod ly, Orff, or Suzuki methodologies.
