MSTI Indirect Regional Supplier Manager

As an MSTI Indirect Regional Supplier Manager at Micron Technology, you will play a crucial role in managing supplier relationships, performance, and negotiations within your assigned category. Your primary responsibility will be to serve as the main point of contact for suppliers, ensuring their performance aligns with Micron's strategic direction. By partnering with internal customers, you will develop comprehensive views of supplier performance to support sourcing success. Your tasks will include developing and implementing category strategies, leading cost reduction initiatives, optimizing the supply base, and negotiating contracts. You will also engage in benchmarking analysis to enhance cost, supply, and quality optimization strategies. Furthermore, you will be responsible for negotiating terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers to maximize spend leverage. In this role, you will manage supplier relationships regionally, maintain collaborative relationships, ensure suppliers adhere to Micron's code-of-conduct programs, and communicate key updates to internal stakeholders. Additionally, you will identify and implement supplier-related savings levers, provide market intelligence, and drive negotiations for sustaining purchases. Your role will also involve ensuring supplier performance management by collecting site-specific priorities, monitoring supplier performance, and organizing strategic supplier events. Moreover, you will collaborate internally to develop key performance measures for regional suppliers and drive continuous improvement. To qualify for this position, you are required to have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field, along with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement or Supply Chain. Desired certifications include APICS, PMI, CPM, CPSM, or other related fields of study. Proficiency in tools such as SCOUT, SAP, and Ariba is beneficial. Key qualifications for this role include collaboration skills, experience as a change agent, relationship leadership skills, analytical abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with Indirect categories, project management skills, and knowledge of strategic sourcing processes are advantageous.
