Motor Underwriter

Role Overview: As a member of Munich Re in Mumbai, India, your primary responsibility will be to participate in the pricing and maintenance of casualty treaties, with a specific focus on Motor. Key Responsibilities: - Engage in Treaty pricing using the pricing platform - Manage post-renewal treaty maintenance in collaboration with the finance team - Create PowerPoint presentations for internal and external purposes - Analyze client information decks and quarterly performances to update market summaries and statistics - Regularly interact with clients and brokers - Conduct exposure analysis and review underlying coverages - Participate in Reinsurance Wordings & Maintenance of Guidelines and internal processes - Handle adhoc activities by liaising with claims, fac underwriters, and client managers periodically Qualification Required: - Graduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics with a strong numerical aptitude - Actuarial aspirant with a minimum of 6 examinations passed - Over 5 years of pricing experience for retail products in the Indian market - Excellent communication and analytical skills - Basic understanding of reinsurance contracts Additional Company Details (if available): The company prefers candidates with experience in PowerBI, SAS, and Macros. Furthermore, they seek individuals with competencies in understanding the insurance market and retail products, especially motor. The ability to analyze run-off triangles and portfolios based on historical data is also valued, along with the skill to run dashboards for Casualty CoB from various data sources.,
