Job Description

As a Mortgage Title Review Specialist, your role involves reviewing and analyzing title documents to ensure clear ownership and identify any issues that may impact the mortgage process. You are required to have a deep understanding of title documentation, liens, encumbrances, and legal descriptions. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment are crucial for this position. - Review various title documents for accuracy and completeness - Identify and resolve title issues such as liens, judgments, encroachments, and easements - Determine the impact of credit based on title commitments - Verify legal descriptions, ownership history, and chain of title - Collaborate with title companies, attorneys, and internal teams to address title issues - Ensure compliance with underwriting and investor guidelines - Document and communicate findings clearly - Update systems with status and notes - Assist in resolving post-closing title issues To excel in this role, you should have: - At least 2 years of experience in mortgage title review or a related field - Strong knowledge of title documentation and real estate law - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Effective written and verbal communication abilities - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and title software systems - High attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to follow complex task processes, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines - Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote setting - Availability to work U.S. hours Additionally, it is important to stay informed about state and federal regulations related to title review to ensure compliance and effectiveness in your role.,
