Role Description

JD For Sr. Designer.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice in Mould design engineering

·      Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on design activities for the Tool room Operation.

·      Provide specialist technical advice and support on all aspects of Tool design, manufacturing and estimating

·      Support production and engineering with tooling/technical problems

·      Attend mould trials and make fine tuning  decisions.

·      Oversee all work through the tool room efficiently and cost effectively and ensure that all target dates for tooling are met

·      Provide quotations for new tooling, modifications and repairs

·      Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions

·      Produce written reports and make presentations

·      Develop, implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility

Skills & Attributes:

·      Excellent skills in CAD software  Unigraphics NX and Autocad

·      Excellent Knowledge about Packaging molds for FMCG Industry.

·      Excellent skills in designing of multicavity packaging mould development for very high cavitation like 64, 96 cavity molds.

·      Excellent Knowledge about unscrew molds, Flip Top Caps, Bi Injection moulds and In mold closing systems.

·      Excellent Knowledge about Hot Runner molds.

·      Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members

·      Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

·      Excellent organisational and follow-up skills

·      Work independently and is reviewed infrequently with minimal supervision

·      Strong knowledge about Fits and Tolerances , Limits etc..

·      Strong knowledge about Heat treatment process and materials.

Qualifications and Experience Levels:

·      Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree preferred or NTTF/CIPET/GTTC with minimum 5+ years of experience.

·      Extensive plant level experience with significant proven design experience

·       Must have experience with high cavitation packaging moulds with unscrew mechanism, In mould closing, In mould labelling etc..

·      Must have experience in Hot runner moulds.

·      Understanding of manufacturing and procurement/supply chain

·      Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office

·      Previous experience in a high quality manufacturing environment, preferably a Tool room with packaging moulds
