Kherwadi Social Welfare Association (KSWA) is an NGO founded in 1928, with its flagship movement, Yuva Parivartan (YP), established in 1998 and formally launched by then President APJ Kalam in 2003. YP’s mission is to provide second chances to deprived youth and empower women through sustainable livelihood opportunities via technical, business, and life skill training programs. Over the past 25 years, YP has improved employability for over 1 million deprived youth and women through skilling courses, leading to income generation. Our tailored courses emphasize practical training, flexibility, and short durations ranging from 15 to 90 days, facilitating quick benefits. A network of field counsellors, community leaders, trainers, and local livelihood providers enables us to mobilize students at scale and help them achieve wage or self-employment.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mobiliser located in New Delhi. The Mobiliser will be responsible for reaching out to local communities, identifying potential students, and encouraging their participation in Yuva Parivartan's training programs. Day-to-day tasks include conducting field visits, engaging with community leaders, organizing informational sessions, and providing support and guidance to students throughout their training journey. The Mobiliser will also work closely with trainers and local livelihood providers to ensure successful program delivery and employment outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with community members and leaders
• Experience in community outreach, mobilization, and fieldwork
• Ability to organize and conduct informational sessions and meetings
• Good organizational and coordination skills to work with trainers and livelihood providers
• Passion for social work and a commitment to empowering marginalized communities
• Knowledge of local languages and dialects is a plus
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and digital literacy
• Previous experience in the NGO sector or community development is beneficial
